DEDON SUMMMERHOME

For DEDON Summer Home, we translated new pieces and existing collections into atmospheric imagery, showing how varied, adaptable, and contemporary outdoor living can be today. Colour, materiality, and spatial dramaturgy stood at the centre of the staging – at times pared back, at times bold, always precise.

Outdoor design tends to hold back more than interiors do. We worked with quiet earth tones, fresh contrasts, and bold hues rarely seen outdoors before, drawing deliberately on the palette the surroundings already offer: the terracotta of a roof, the blue of sky and pool, the tones of plants and blossoms.

People are at the centre of it all: spaces that allow for different forms of togetherness, open to encounter as much as to quiet, personal moments. Outdoors, processes are harder to control than indoors – light, weather, and the time of day and year continually shift colours and moods. Within the hand-woven furniture, colour behaves differently than on flat materials: it blends, shifts, and gains depth.

What emerges is an approach that thinks of outdoor spaces as flexible and individual: modular combinations, weaves in colours drawn from nature and surroundings, new cushion colours – outdoor worlds that go beyond pure function and keep revealing themselves anew.
